YodaSpeak

April 18, 2012 0 Comments

When young I had a friend, was I, obsessed with star wars, that was. Was to try to speak and act like yoda, his favorite thing to do. Yes, hmmm.

When he tried it ever, laugh hysterically (good friends I know), we would, and to find another hobby tell him that he needed, less geeky, that was. Herh herh herh.

To ask him why he always insisted on trying to be like yoda one day I decided, his answer surprised me. More comfortable being yoda, he said that we was, than being himself. Yeesssssss.

What a huge mistake. And one that we make quite often ourselves, it is. Of using our greatest competitive advantage (our own personality instead, quirks and all), to be more like our competitors we try, they do by parroting what, thinking that that, what brings us success, will be. Hmmmmmm.

Be better at being your competitor than your competitor it is important to remember that you cannot, be better at being you just as they cannot, than you. So be you.

With you may the force be.
